Prime Rate is a variable annual interest rate. At Capital One, we base our variable rates on the Canadian Prime Rate, as published in the Report on Business section of The Globe and Mail on the 25th day of each month. If the 25th falls on a weekend or holiday, the previous business day's information is used to determine the rate information.

Potential savings in the "Is it worth it?" tool tip are based on a two-week, international vacation package for two 30 year olds, costing $2,500 and booked on your Aspire Cash World MasterCard. For all insurance coverage, certain limitations, restrictions and exclusions apply. For Travel Emergency Medical Insurance, the primary Cardholder, their spouse and their dependent children, when travelling with either parent, are covered for trips up to 22 days, if under 65 years of age, and for trips up to 8 days, if 65 years of age or older. The date of departure is counted as the first day. When you're approved for the card you'll receive Certificates of Insurance which contain a full description of coverage. Capital One is not the insurer.
Cash rewards are applied to total net purchases. That means any purchase thats charged to your Aspire credit card minus refunds, returns or other similar credits. Cash advances, balance transfers and access cheque transactions arent eligible for rewards.
The 20% anniversary cash bonus is based on the amount of cash rewards earned that year on total net purchases. Your total net purchases are any purchases that are charged to your Capital One MasterCard minus refunds, returns or other similar credits. You won't receive an anniversary cash bonus on your first purchase bonus, transferred rewards, bonus rewards or rewards account adjustments. Your anniversary bonus cash rewards accumulate every year within two billing cycles of your rewards membership anniversary date.
Your first purchase bonus cash reward accumulates within two billing cycles after the first qualifying purchase is posted to your account.
